	PETCO is the trading name of the PET Recycling Company (Pty) Ltd and represents the South African plastic industry's first joint effort to self-regulate post-consumer Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) recycling. PETCO aims to minimize the environmental impact of post-consumer PET on the South African landscape by : Achieving sustainable growth in Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) plastic recycling; Supporting existing and encouraging new PET collection and recycling networks; Promoting consumer education and awareness programmes.
	LOMOLD has engaged in extensive R&D over a period of 12 years, focusing on bringing a new plastics moulding method to the market. This involved building relationships with a large number of role players as well as significant capital investments. The first LOMOLD machines were built in 2006 as part of the R&D program, while 2009 saw the first LOMOLD pallet machine built. In 2010, LOMOLD will be commercially operational with the manufacturing of lightweight, performance pallets in China, while the Long Glass Fibre technology starts expanding into new markets.
